Backstory

Born in Alexandria to two Alexandrians, Diesel doesn't remember much of either of them, as they'd passed away when he was quite young. He was born with a levin sensitivity, though his symptoms aren't usually severe, save for the strain it leaves on his muscles. He was raised by a friend of his family, a shetona, and grew up alongside his kid, with whom he became fast friends. His adoptive father would often tell them stories about the world outside, before he arrived in Alexandria, and the two were enchanted by the tales. Diesel developed an interest in engineering and mechanics, especially anything involving transportation, and dreamed about building a vehicle that could take him and his friend outside the dome and all over the world beyond. One day, when he and his friend were exploring the Outskirts in an off-limits area, his friend was fatally injured by a war machine that was being tested. Diesel tried desperately to carry her to safety, but he was too weak. By the time they were found by hunters, it was too late for her, and neither her nor her father wore regulators.Horrified by the tragedy, he developed a strong hatred for war and conflict. His adoptive father passed away from heartache not long after, leaving Diesel alone. He moved on to become an engineer specializing in electrope technology. When he refused to start working on weaponry for the upcoming war, he lost his job. It was then that the young man was sought out by the Arcadion, inviting him to participate as a fighter. He decided to choose the Doomtrain as his feral soul of choice. He was fairly popular, despite not being one of the top fighters, as his amiable personality sowed seeds of curiosity and hope in the crowds, who saw glimpses of what the outside world could be like in his arena's projections and fights; inspiring others, just as his father had inspired him. When the Arcadion was briefly shut down, Diesel decided to retire. Fighting took a toll on his body, and he was starting to worry about permanently injuring it further.Instead, he went back to his roots as an engineer, and landed a job working on the Arcadion arenas and bringing the dreams of other fighters to life. He also enjoys giving fighters tips and advice here and there, especially when it comes to managing fame and publicity. So when the new Champion, the Tyrant, was on the search for someone who could not only help with his car modifications but was also willing to drive him around for public appearances... of course he was first in line for the job.

More Information & More

Writer of this account is 26 years old.Note: As Diesel retired early, he never ended up developing psychonekrosis, unlike many of the other Arcadion fighters.Random fun fact: Technically, Diesel was supposed to have a haunting, horror-themed stage persona as a demonic, skeletal train conductor out of Hell... but he was bad at keeping up such a pretense. Yet, he gained fans for his too-honest and easy-going personality, so he ended up forgoing his initial persona altogether.

More to come soon...
